My first blog!
Welcome to my first blog! I’m really looking forward to blogging here and have loads of ideas for all the different things I’m going to write about. There will be some regular yoga based features and lots related to my yoga classes and here and there will probably be something else a bit more everyday thrown is as well.
To begin with I thought it would be good to have a look at what we have done in our yoga class each term. I’m hoping to do an introduction and summary for each term of classes, the idea being that it will give those of you who come to class a chance to review what you have achieved or get motivated for the coming term. It should also be useful for people who are thinking of coming along to see what we have been up to.
I’m also thinking of doing a ‘Pose of the Month’ post. This will be a pose we are working on in class but will give me the opportunity to jot down in more detail the benefits of each posture and its background or different ways of approaching it. In class it always feels like we are tight on time so I don’t get the chance to tell you why we do things and how they can help you as much as I would like to so hopefully this blog will be able to rectify that.
In the next few weeks I hope to get chance to do some blogs on the different types of yoga poses and an explanation on the names for different poses as I am also aware that all of this was very confusing for me when I came to yoga to so hopefully this will clarify things for you in you are new to yoga. I also hope to have the chance to tell you a little bit more about me, my family and my little Ipswich life and also the things that brought me to yoga and why I love it.
Of course I am feeling terribly excited about having a website and all the wonderful things I can do with it. I am quite honestly overflowing with ideas and about all the things I want to tell you all! Whether I actually have the time to do all this we shall see, but best intentions and all that.
In the meantime, whether you are a participant in my classes or not, do get in touch and tell me about your yoga and what you think of the site. I’m really looking forward to hearing from lots of enthusiastic yogis!
